The invention concerns a device for orienting a bung (1) and closure cap (2) assembly to be mounted on a brick-type container. The device is characterized in that the means (7) for driving and individually positioning said bung (1) and cap (2) assembly consists of driving teeth or templates (10) and of elements (11, 11') for orienting the bung (1) and cap (2) assemblies co-operating with part of the caps (2) of said assemblies. The invention is more particularly applicable in the field of manufacture of containers for holding liquids, in particular food liquids, particularly in brick-type containers provided with a closure comprising a sealed bung bonded on the container and a closure cap provided with uncapping means.
