An LED to which a plurality of cells are coupled is provided to easily design a layout for an LED device capable of being used at domestic AC power by interconnecting a plurality of LED cells of a hexagonal type in series or parallel on a wafer level. An LED device includes a plurality of LED cells(100) of a hexagonal type interconnected in series or parallel on a wafer(110). First and second external electrode terminals are formed on the wafer. A plurality of LED cells of a hexagonal type are uniformly arranged on the wafer. The plurality of LED cells of a hexagonal type are connected in series between the first and the second external electrode terminals.
