An information storing medium, a method for recording/reproducing position information, and an apparatus therefor are provided to include a pointing function capable of efficiently indicating position information about changed disc association information when the changed disc association information is recorded, and effectively and quickly reading disc the association information. Disc association information including common disc association information and changeable parameter information is reproduced from a disc association information area disposed according to information about the changeable parameter information(11,12). Data are recorded according to the disc association information, or the data are reproduced in consideration of the common disc association information(14,16).
