<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and thin liquid crystal display superior in view angle control. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display comprises a view angle control liquid crystal element 1, a liquid crystal display panel 3, and a vibration generation part 5. The liquid crystal display panel 3 has an array substrate 21, facing substrates 22, and a second liquid crystal layer 23. The view angle control liquid crystal element 1 has a first substrate 11, a second substrate 12, and a first liquid crystal layer 13 for controlling view angle characteristics of light transmitting through the first substrate and the second substrate by being sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate. The vibration generation part 5 is provided on the peripheral edge part of the first substrate 11 of the view angle control liquid crystal element 1 or the peripheral edge part of the second substrate 12, includes a magnet 5a and a voice coil 5b, and outputs voice by vibrating the view angle control liquid crystal element on the basis of a voice signal input in the voice coil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
