The pad (1) has a fleece with a super-absorbing polymer and fitted on a forearm (5) of a living being. The fleece is partially immersed with a volatile fluid that is evaporated at the fleece with a heat supply. A support layer is arranged on the fleece at a side of the pad that faces the forearm of the living being. A side of the fleece and/or the layer that faces the forearm is partially in direct contact with the atmosphere. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a cool bandage for cooling of a body part (2) a piece of clothing having a cool bandage (3) a cool band for cooling a body part (4) a cool band-aid for cooling of a body part (5) a cool mask for cooling a body part of an animal (6) a cooling collar for cooling a container e.g. fluid container or beverage container (7) a method of cooling a body part using a cool pad, cool collar, cool bandage, a piece of clothing, cool band, cool band-aid and a cool mask.
