The axle has a chain drive and a differential gear, where the differential gear consists of a carrier bearing (2). Axle shafts (21,22) with its proximal ends are rotated or movably inserted in a axially beveled wheel (16). The axle shafts are supported in a radial bearing (26) at a distal end of the neck of the carrier bearing and still further outside in a fixed bearing (33,34) that is connected with a vehicle.
