<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple shock absorbing structure improved in the protective properties of a colliding body. <P>SOLUTION: In a battery support structure 10 as the shock absorbing structure for a vehicle, when a buffer ECU 44 detects or predicts a collision of a walker with a front bumper on the basis of a result of detection by a collision detecting device 46, the buffer ECU 44 operates a battery moving mechanism 30 so as to separate a battery 26 loaded on the vehicle from an engine hood 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
