PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus that can display thumbnail images when transmission/reception record information is listed, even if image data is deleted from an image memory. SOLUTION: In a communication apparatus where transmitted/received image data, consisting of one or a plurality of pages, is stored sequentially in an image memory and image data is displayed and outputted, in association with information about the opposite party of the transmission/reception and transmission/reception record information containing the transmission/reception time, only a predetermined page of each image data stored in an image memory is extracted and compressed image data are generated. The compressed image data are stored, associated with the transmission/reception record information and are displayed in association with the transmission/reception record information.
