PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there have been no inexpensive and ready-made weir plate for a water channel for field irrigation since the width of irrigation canals differs depending on locations, that farmers have independently formed weir plates, that a large quantity of water has leaked depending on their accuracy and materials, and that it has inconveniently taken a long time to attach and remove the weir plates to and from channels. SOLUTION: The main body plate surface 1 of a weir plate is bent in an arch shape, and an extending and contracting function is provided for the inside of the arch shape. Since the radius of the arch shape is changed by the extension and contraction of the extending and contracting function, it is possible to adjust the vertical width size of the weir plate and adapt to the width of a water channel. Elastic bodies are provided on right and left faces and the lowest part of the main body plate surface 1 to heighten adhesion between the weir plate and a water channel surface and structurally prevent water from leaking.
