A circular stator core (15) has columns opening radially inward. A fixed winding (16) is installed in the stator core. A varnish carrier element is arranged around and in close contact with the radially outermost surface of the coil end of the fixed winding. Varnish is applied to the coil end radially from inside. An independent claim is also included for a DC generator electrical stator manufacturing method.
