<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cassette in which the setting of a side fence member at a position different from the size of paper stored in a paper storage part is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: This paper cassette 30 comprises the side fence member 33 movable according to the size of the paper to abut on the paper stored in the paper storage part 31 and an indicator 36 determining the disposed position of the side fence member 33 correspondingly to the size of the paper. The indicator 36 comprises an inch size indication part 41 having an index 41a based on an inch unit system and a centimeter size indication part 42 having an index 42a based on a centimeter unit system which are installed at different positions.
