PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in a circuit size, and to detect phase errors, when reproducing carrier waves.
SOLUTION: Based on baseband signals BBX, BBY, with an orthogonal component Q and an in-phase component I are changed into 1 bit, the signals are generated by 1-bit A/D converters 107, 108, respectively. A phase error detection circuit 111 obtains the rotating directions of the phases of the in-phase component I and the orthogonal component Q, based on the bit error of the baseband signals BBX and BBY changed into 1 bit, and inputs them to a voltage-controlled oscillator 109 via a low-pass filter 110. The voltage-controlled oscillator 109 controls the phase of the carriers so that the frequency in the clockwise rotation and the frequency in the counterclockwise rotation of the in-phase component I and the orthogonal component Q become equal, and supplies a carrier signal to a mixer 104 and a phase shifter 112.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
