PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for hot-water disinfection of rice seed enabling easy installation, relocation, etc., according to the installed state and working state by integrating a hot-water tank with a suspension structure of a rice seed holder. SOLUTION: The hot-water disinfection apparatus 1 comprises a hot-water tank 2 to immerse rice seed in hot water, a water-permeable rice seed holder 3 to hold the rice seed, and a suspension structure 4 for the rice seed holder to vertically move the rice seed holder 3 above the hot-water tank 2. The suspension structure 4 for the rice seed holder can be fixed at the lowered position to immerse the rice seed holder 3 in hot water filled in the hot-water tank 2 at a prescribed water level and a lifted position to pull up the holder from the hot water. The rice seed holder 3 is elastically suspended by suspension springs 9, 9 of the suspension structure 4 to exert lifting force, and the holder 3 is fixed by pushing down to a position immersed in the hot water and is lifted by releasing the fixing engagement.
