A dual-menu bi-directional swing phone for displaying a different standby screen image according to a swing direction and a dual-menu display method are provided to allow a user to use a frequently used menu as soon as opening a phone without having to access one by one by using a key button. A sensing unit(10) outputs a different sense signal according to a swing direction of a swing phone. A memory(20) stores information regarding an initial standby screen image set as default in the swing phone and a select standby screen image of a particular menu arbitrarily set by a user. When the swing phone is opened, a controller(30) selectively displays one of the initial standby screen image and the select standby screen image according to a sense signal.
