An expandable handrail structure for a building is provided to increase the utility of a veranda by widening the space of a veranda to the outside elastically by using a length regulating handrail. The expandable handrail structure for a building is completed by fixing a fixing frame(10) to a side wall of a handrail, fixing a length regulating handrail(30) to a rotary support column(20) supported to the fixing frame rotatively, and supporting the lower part of the length regulating handrail to a fixed frame(50) fixed to a bottom wall of a handrail by using a variable support(40). The fixing frame contains a wall fixture(11) to be fixed on the side wall of the handrail by anchor bolts(13), and a bar fixture(12) having a hole(14) to insert a fixing bar and to fix the rotary support column rotatively; the rotary support column contains a bar hole(22) to penetrate the top and bottom of a column body(21) and a fixing bar(23) to be fixed to the fixing frame rotatively; the length regulating handrail comprise a pair of handrail bars formed by inserting many vertical bars(37) between an upper variable horizontal bar(31) and a lower variable horizontal bar(32); the variable support contains hinge joints(41) to be hinged on the fixing frame and the lower variable horizontal bar; and the fixed frame contains a horizontal part and a vertical part(53) formed in the L-shape and fixed to the inner end of the bottom wall of the handrail by bolts, and many hinges(51) hinged with the hinge joints of the variable support. |
