<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type water heater capable of preferentially using medium temperature warm water accumulated in a hot water storage tank to avoid the supply of medium temperature warm water to a heating source in boiling-up operation to thereby prevent the degradation of COP and moreover simplifying control. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump type water heater performs boiling-up operation of allowing low temperature water to flow out of a bottom part of the hot water storage tank 1 and boiling up the low temperature water by the heat pump type heating source 3 to return it to the upper part of the hot water storage tank 1. When the medium temperature warm water in the hot water storage tank 1 is higher than a set hot water supply temperature, warm water is collected from the medium temperature warm water of the lowest temperature. The medium temperature warm water from the corresponding one of medium temperature warm water discharge pipes 23a-23c, and water supply from a water supply pipe 25 are mixed by a mixing valve 21, and warm water mixed to the set hot water supply temperature by the mixing valve 21 is supplied by a hot water supply pipe 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
