<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for controlling a rotating electric machine capable of preventing a control operation from being operated unsteady, even if a power running control is transited to a power generation control and the power generation control is transited to the power running control in a rotating electric machine control. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes a main circuit connected between a plurality of rotor winding terminals of the rotating electric machine and a low potential of a battery, and a control unit for controlling the power running and the power generation by turning ON/OFF the main circuit; and switches and controls the power running and the power generation to perform the power running and the power generation, when a control command of the rotating electric machine is switched from a power running command to a power generation command or from the power generation command to the power running command. A stand-by command is added between the power running command and the power generation command, so that the power generation control and the power running control are prevented from being rapidly switched, thus preventing the occurrence of contradiction in the control switching operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
