PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device having a blur correction function capable of detecting the amount of a blur and correcting the blur based on the detected amount of the blur, without preparing a new sensor for detecting the blur. SOLUTION: The portable electronic device comprises a first camera 2 including a first photo-optical system 2A, a second camera 4 including a second photo-optical system 4A, a correction operation switch circuit 28 for switching connection that one of the first camera 2 and the second camera 4 is used as a camera for image photographing and the other as a camera for blur detection, and a CPU 10 for modifying some or all of the cameras for image photographing to perform blur correction based on output of the camera for blur detection. In addition, the first photo-optical system 2A and the second photo-optical system 4A are arranged so that a photographing optical axis in the first photo-optical system 2A is substantially parallel to the one in the second photo-optical system 4A.
