PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plurality of secondary batteries which have different terminal arrangements according to functions, and also to provide a charger which is shared for use of a plurality of these secondary batteries. SOLUTION: A secondary battery 1 for electronic device which is connected with an electronic device and supplies a power to the electronic device is provided with: a battery cell 3 of which the cathode, the anode and the electrolyte are housed in a package 23 and a cathode terminal 21 and anode terminal 22 are led out through the same side surface 3a of the package 23 from the cathode and anode respectively; a metal battery can 2 on which an opening mouth 5 into which the battery cell is formed and which houses the battery cell 3 so that the side surface 3a through which the cathode terminal 21 and the anode terminal 23 are led out can face the side of the opening mouth 5; and a plastic cover 4 which is provided with terminal parts 37, 38 with which the cathode terminal 21 and the anode terminal 22 are connected and which are placed outside and to be connected with electrodes of an electronic device, and covers the opening mouth 5 of the battery can 2. The terminal parts 37, 38 are formed in an approximate point symmetric position with a first secondary battery 1A and other secondary batter 1B each having a different function.
