PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a video data information display in which a user can set an intuitively comprehensible thumbnail image for a title, and can identify mutually related titles intuitively among a plurality of titles recorded on a recording medium. SOLUTION: When a plurality of mutually related titles (titles 301a-301d) of serial dramas or the like are recorded on a recording medium, thumbnail pointers 311b-311d of other titles (titles 301b-301d) are set to specify a thumbnail original image 306 used for the thumbnail image of some title (parent title 301a). When the thumbnail of each title is displayed, the thumbnail of each title is displayed by displaying a thumbnail image having the same pattern (pattern of the thumbnail original image).
