PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition having high grade thermal resistance, mechanical properties, moldability (fluidity), colorlessness and solvent-resistance, and to provide the thermoplastic resin composition having high grade transparency and optical isotropy. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) a copolymer containing≥5% by weight of lactone ring structural unit represented by general formula (1) and (B) a rubber-containing polymer comprising a multilayer polymer having at least one rubber layers or a graft copolymer inside, and the total light transmittance per 2 mm thickness of the thermoplastic resin composition is≥90%, wherein R<SP>1</SP>represents a group selected from a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group, a phenyl group or an organic residue substituted with a phenyl group and a 1-6C hydroxy alkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>represents a group selected from a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group, a phenyl group or a phenyl group substituted with an organic residue and a 2-6C alkoxy carbonyl group; and R<SP>3</SP>represents a group selected from a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group and a phenyl group or a phenyl group substituted with an organic residue.
