PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for burning soot dust suspending in the combustion chamber of a coke oven in a heat storage chamber by a simple means to suppress helping incomplete combustion attributable to the joint cracking of brick walls dividing the combustion chambers and a carbonization chamber from each other. SOLUTION: The method for burning soot dust in the heat storage chamber comprises feeding the combustion chamber with air whose blow pressure is kept constant via pipings functioning to feed C gas (coke oven gas), wherein the pipings are set on the exhaust side of the combustion chambers situated on both adjacent sides of the carbonization chamber to be charged with coal.
