<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle behavior acquisition system for detecting a behavior of a vehicle such as a vehicle position, a vehicle speed, or the forward/backward movement of the vehicle by setting at least two cameras above a gateway lane of an express way, imaging a vehicle passing through it by the cameras and performing image processing. <P>SOLUTION: When a vehicle enters a camera area, the vehicle is detected (S1). A bumper that is a characteristic of the detected vehicle is detected (S2). Distances Ln of the cameras to the vehicle and anglesθn1 andθn2 are calculated (S3). After the lapse of a predetermined time T from the detection of the distances Ln, distances Lm of the cameras to the vehicle and anglesθm1 andθm2 are calculated.
