<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon film enabling restraint of power consumption as well as enabling electron emission with mechanical and electric stability necessary for emission at a required brightness level. <P>SOLUTION: Walls 4 linked in a curve are made into mesh-like films as walls limiting alignment intervals of electron emission points, needle-like films 8 with their tips to be the electron emission points are formed at a height higher than that of the mesh-like walls 4 in each region surrounded by the mesh-like walls 4, and wall-like films 10 are formed so as to cling to the needle-like films 8 from their lower part to middle part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
