<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine metal particle having excellent corrosion resistance and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The fine metal particle is composed mainly of Fe and coated with graphite and has 0.1 to 5 wt.% nitrogen content. In the manufacturing method of the fine metal particle, the fine metal particle can be obtained by mixing iron oxide powder with carbon-containing powder, heat treating the resultant powder mixture in a nonoxidizing atmosphere to prepare the fine metal particle composed mainly of Fe and coated with graphite and then applying nitriding treatment to the fine metal particle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
