PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of self-excited vibration (chattering vibration) during machining by a rotating tool. SOLUTION: A fluid filling part 20 filled with magnetic fluid 21 is arranged in a main spindle 10. In a head stock 15, a magnetic field generating part 30 having a plurality of coils arrayed to apply the magnetic field to the fluid filling part 20 in the main spindle 10 is provided. By controlling exciting position, exciting strength and exciting period by the plurality of coils, the mass distribution of the magnetic fluid 21 in the fluid filling part 20 is changed to vibrate the main spindle 10 by prescribed period, phase and amplitude.
