PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk, an optical disk recording apparatus, and an optical disk recording method for recording still picture data and corresponding moving picture data in association with each other so as to be easily used when recording a still picture group generated by photographing still pictures at prescribed time interval and recording the still picture group after converted into a piece of the moving picture data. SOLUTION: A camera system 1 includes: a disk drive 13 for carrying out recording to a rewritable 2-layer optical disk D with two recording layers onto one side of which laser beam is made incident; and a time lapse controller 10 that converts a plurality of still picture data into one moving picture data. The time lapse controller 10 converts a group of still pictures comprising a plurality of still picture data whose photographing times are consecutive into one moving picture data and includes photographing time information of the still picture data to the moving picture data. Further, the time lapse controller 10 controls recording of the still picture group and the moving picture data corresponding to each other so that they are arranged to require a minimum seek amount, creates an index file wherein the corresponding still picture data and the moving picture data are associated and records the file to the 2-layer optical disk D.
