PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine, in which a slot door can be used in both an outward opening type and an inward opening type, and the opening type can be changed without detaching/attaching the slot door. SOLUTION: In the vending machine comprising a body cabinet 1, a single-acting outer door 2 openably/closably supported on the front surface of the body cabinet 1 by a hinge, a commodity slot 20 provided on the outer door 2, and the slot door 23 opening and closing the opening of the commodity slot 20, the slot door 23 is formed in a size such that it can be rotated without contact with the opening edge of the outer door 2, and a contact member 24 which abuts on the slot door 23 to arrest rotation of the slot door 23 is detachably attached to the opening edge of the outer door 2. When the slot door 23 is changed from the outward opening type (or inward opening type) to the inward opening type (or outward opening type), the contact member 24 is removed, the door 23 is passed over over the commodity slot and rotated to the front or rear of the opening of the commodity slot, and the contact member 24 is attached so that the free end of the door 23 abuts on the contact member 24.
