DIGITAL MULTIMEDIA BROADCASTING RECEIVER AND METHOD OF UTILIZING PROGRAM NUMBER THEREOF

A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) receiver and a program number use method therefor are provided to allow a user to continuously view a corresponding broadcasting program without operating an additional key although the broadcasting program is extended and broadcasted through another channel. A DMB receiver parses a trigger type in EPG information received from the outside, and stores the EPG information according to a corresponding broadcasting program. When a recording command is received, the DMB receiver analyzes a trigger type of a broadcasting program designated to be recorded and confirms a service ID and a program number(S501-S503). When the same program number as the confirmed program number is received through a channel indicated by the service ID(S504), the DMB receiver records a broadcasting program of the corresponding channel(S505).
