PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated molding which shows low stretching properties and high heat resistance, light weight and is free from the possibility of rust generation and further, is suited for application as an architectural member to be used outdoors, especially in a rain gutter and a method for manufacturing the laminated molding. SOLUTION: This laminated molding is of such a structure that the front/back of a sheet S comprising an inorganic short fiber C oriented at random with thermoplastic resin are coated with an extruded thermoplastic resin and a sheet S reinforced in every direction with the inorganic short fiber C with a low coefficient of linear expansion as a core material whose front/back are wrapped with the thermoplastic resin P. Thus the laminated molding is hardly susceptible of the generation of a deformation, a crack or a warp by heat due to a direct solar radiation. When manufacturing the laminated molding, a continuous sheet S is made by continuously pressing thermally and cooling under pressure a continuous mat made of a mixture of the inorganic short fiber and the thermoplastic resin. Then the sheet is shaped to the required form, and at the same time, the front/back of the sheet are coated with the extruded thermoplastic resin as a core material. Thus it is possible to obtain the laminated molding of a desired type easily and efficiently. |
