ACOUSTO-OPTIC FILTER AND OPTICAL CDMA SYSTEM USING THE SAME

An acousto-optic filter and an optical CDMA system using the same are provided to make the encoder/decoder having a simple structure by using the acousto-optic filter in the optical CDMA of a wavelength domain and control optical transceiver channels by composing a variable-form encoder/decoder, thereby improving the efficiency of communication traffic in an optical communication system and reducing a unit cost of the system and service costs. An acousto-optic filter for an optical CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) encoder(100) comprises the followings: an AOMC(Acousto-Optic Mode Converter)(110) which converts an optical signal, having an optical frequency corresponding to a frequency of an electric signal among optical signals of the first mode having an optical frequency band, into the second mode; and an MS(Mode Striper)(120) which removes the optical signal converted into the second mode among the optical signals of the first mode.
