FIELD: rocketry; expandable nozzles for solid propellant and liquid propellant rocket engines. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed expandable nozzle of rocket engine has bell mouth and shiftable members, members alignment mechanism, guide cylinder inside member. Ring projection made on out of guide cylinder is pointed inwards passage part of nozzle, and on end part of outer surface of bell mouth of nozzle ring groove is made to accommodate ring projection. ^ EFFECT: improved reliability of operation of expandable nozzle with one or several nozzle members. ^ 2 dwg
