An alphabet keypad for a mobile communication terminal and an alphabet input method using the same are provided to input all 26 alphabets by pressing a character input key more than one time or two times or pressing a shortcut key and the character input key, thereby enabling a user to quickly and conveniently input the alphabets by simplifying an alphabet input function. An alphabet keypad for a mobile communication terminal has 11 character input keys, where 26 alphabets are arranged, and a shortcut key which prevents the character input key from being inputted more than three times. All alphabets are inputted by the key pressing of one time or two times according to combination of the character input key and the shortcut key. The Alphabets are arranged two by two in the 7 character input keys of the 11 character input keys and three by three in the 4 character input keys of the 11 character input keys. |
