PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieving mechanism which prevents ink pushed out from an ink discharging port, from spreading onto a face surface. SOLUTION: On the rear surfaces on the opposite sides to surfaces which a pair of ink guides 73 face, ink spread preventing members 180 which prevent the ink from spreading onto the face surface are fixed (pasted with an adhesive or the like). The ink spread preventing members 180 form a pair, and are constituted of a porous substance such as a fiber-like polypropylene. The length of the ink spread preventing member 180 is slightly longer than the length of the ink guide 73. The upper end section (the upper end section in the direction of arrow B) of the ink spread preventing member 180 protrudes higher than the upper end of the ink guide 73. The ink spread preventing member 180 tends to absorb the ink, and the absorbed ink is not held (stored) in the ink spread preventing members 180, and is made to stream to the lower end (below) of the ink spread preventing members 180.
