PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat dissipation unit and a case for an electronic apparatus with no degradation in heat dissipation efficiency nor design property. SOLUTION: A heat dissipation unit 1 is provided on the outside wall of a case body 3 for an electronic apparatus on which a heating component is mounted where a ventilation opening 4 is formed for a cooling fan. It comprises a flat shielding plate 7 for shielding at least the ventilation opening 4, and a leg 8 which forms a space 9 in which at least one opening 14 is formed in between the outside wall 5 while fixing the shielding plate 7 to the case body 3.
