ALDEHYDE COLLECTOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF WOODY PANEL USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein an aldehyde collector is reacted with a formaldehyde type adhesive up to hot press molding when aldehyde collector is preliminarily added to the adhesive or a woody material in a case that the aldehyde collector is used in order to remove formaldehyde when a woody panel is manufactured using the woody material and the adhesive and the curing of the aldehyde collector due to hot pressing becomes insufficient to cause the lowering of the strength of the woody panel. SOLUTION: The aldehyde collector contains an aldehyde collecting composite. This aldehyde collecting composite is composed of a powder or granule of at least one kind of an aldehyde collecting compound or a lump comprising a powder or granule of a plurality of aldehyde collecting compounds and an outer coating material for coating at least a part of the outer surface of the powder, granule or lump of the aldehyde collecting compound. The outer coating material comprises an aldehyde collecting agent having no reactivity with respect to aldehydes and the aldehyde collecting compound being a polymeric compound or wax with a melting point of 40-140°C.
