<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spout for a container which has a simple structure, can be easily molded and assembled, can smoothly spouts a content such as a coating or the like having solidifying properties or tackiness, and exhibits less sagging at the spout after spouting, and to provide a spouting container. <P>SOLUTION: The spout for the container consists of a main body 6, a lid body 4 freely slidably provided in the back and forth direction on the main body, and a spring member 8. A spouting passage 22 provided on the main body has an outlet passage 30 from which the content liquid flows out on the front side of the spouting passage, and an inlet passage 32 from which open air is made to flow in behind the outlet passage. A step part 36 projecting forward is provided on the front face of the spout, and a channel 11 is provided on the inside of the upper face of the lid body. When the lid body is arranged forward, the spout is closed, and when the lid body is slid and moved backward to open the spout, a part of the channel is protruded to the outside of the outer peripheral wall of the spout passage, and the inlet passage is communicated with the open air.
