摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle equipment control system which enables a vehicle door to be properly locked by using either of a self-locking system and a trigger-locking system. <P>SOLUTION: When locking control is performed through the use of the self-locking system which locks the vehicle door only by bringing a user away from a vehicle 10, a second communication area, which covers the whole inside of a cabin, is set. When locking control is performed through the use of the trigger-locking system in which the operations of door locking switches 6a2-6d2 by the user serve as a trigger, a first communication area, which is large enough to bring about the failure of communication with a portable machine 1 held by the user and positioned near the vehicle 10, is set. In each of the communication areas, when a response signal from the portable machine 1 is not received, the vehicle doors 11-14 are locked. This enables the vehicle doors 11-14 to be properly locked, while preventing the portable machine 1 from being left behind in the cabin, even in the use of either of the self-locking system and the trigger-locking system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
