PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient reversing operation in plain paper of not tab paper by securing reliability of carrying in the tab paper. SOLUTION: A reverse rotation driving roller 21 is rotated in the paper delivery direction (the R direction) in advance in a process of making paper enter a reversing carrying tray 13 when carrying the tab paper, and a reverse rotation driven roller 22 is lowered by ON of a solenoid 61, and the paper is pulled in in the carrying direction (the C direction), and is carried until a lug part of the paper rear end slips out of the tip of a reversing branch claw 18. In the paper of not the tab paper, the reverse rotation driving roller 21 is rotated in the paper reversing direction (the anti-R direction), and after lifting the reverse rotation driven roller 22, the reverse rotation driven roller 22 is lowered when the paper rear end slips out of a carrier roller 17 and the tip of the reversing branch claw 18, the paper is reversed by imparting driving force to the paper.
