The device for preventing the pulmonary embolism contains the conical emboli-trapping, fixing, and delivering units designed as the integral tubular element. The diameter of the base of the cone is commeasurable with the diameter of the vena cava inferior. The delivering unit contains the rigid guide. The emboli-trapping unit contains the straight part and the conical spiral connected with the straight part by its apex. The maximal distance between the turns of the spiral is less than the size of the emboli of clinical significance.
