PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor or the like which can inform a user of a fact that a two-dimensional code, when judged, can not be stored in the code printing region of a tape, and also can give an instruction of the subsequent responding process. SOLUTION: The data processor comprises a code printing region setting means that detects tape width to set a code printing region based on the tape width thus detected, a size setting means for setting the size of the two-dimensional code, a judging means that compares the two-dimensional code with the code printing region to judge whether the size of the two-dimensional code can be stored in the set code printing region or not, an error notifying means for notifying an error when the judging means judges that the size of the two-dimensional code cannot be stored in the region, a selecting means for selecting the responding process of the error from a plurality of options when an error is notified, and an executing means for executing one process selected by the selecting means.
