PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rust-preventive oil composition which can attain all of rust preventability, degreasing properties and storage stability at high level in a well-balance. SOLUTION: The rust-preventive oil composition contains: a base oil composed of a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil; an oxidized wax salt; and carboxylic acid. According to this rust-preventive oil composition, by jointly using the oxidized wax salt and carboxylic acid, its rust preventability owing to the oxidized wax salt can be exhibited to the maximum, and further, the degreasing properties of the rust-preventive oil composition and the solubility of the oxidized wax salt to the base oil can be sufficiently increased, thus all of the rust preventability, degreasing properties and storage stability can be attained at high level in a well balance.
