PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate an area passing time required for passing each area, to search a route, based on statistical traffic information corresponding to a meteorological situation at arrival time to the each area calculated on the basis of the area passing time, to search the proper route. SOLUTION: This navigation system has: a statistical traffic information storage part for storing the statistical traffic information of each link to correspond to a time zone and the meteorological situation; an area passing time calculation part for calculating the area passing time required for passing the each area; an area arrival time calculation part for calculating the arrival time at the each area, based on the area passing time; a meteorological situation acquiring part for acquiring information as to the meteorological situation in each district; a statistical traffic information retrieving part for retrieving the statistical traffic information corresponding to the meteorological situation in the arrival time at the area; and a route searching part for searching the route, based on the statistical traffic information.
