The pump wheel has wings which are flexible for the direction of rotation of an independent pump impeller. The pump impeller wings are tiltably arranged. The stress in the material of the pump wings is set against the pressure so that that the outline corresponds to a conventional pump impeller. The impeller wings are defined depending upon direction of rotation by a stop in their end position.
