<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-core writing instrument accommodating a writing body according to a user's preference and its corresponding operating body in a replaceable manner in a barrel and allowing the writing body and the operating body to be rapidly and reliably replaced. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of writing bodies 6 are accommodated in the barrel 2 so as to be movable back and forth. Respective writing bodies 6 are urged by elastic bodies backward. At the rear ends of the respective writing bodies 6, operating bodies 7 are connected correspondingly to the respective writing bodies 6. A plurality of window holes 41 are formed in a side wall of the barrel 2 in the radial direction so as to extend in the back and forth direction. The respective operating bodies 7 protrude to the outside through the respective window holes 41 in the radial direction. At the rear end of the barrel 2, an opening part 42 which opens the window hole 41 rearward is provided free to open and close.
