PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost for device authentication processing when a plurality of devices to be authenticated access one authentication execution device. SOLUTION: An encrypted content communication system includes a source device 200, and a plurality of destination devices 300A-300N for receiving license information and content from the source device 200. The first destination device 300A executes the device authentication of the second destination device 300N. The source device 200 executes the device authentication of the 300A. When the above authentication is successful, an encrypted challenge key for use in accessing the license information is issued to the 300A. The 300A supplies the encrypted challenge key being issued from the source device, to the 300N of which authentication is completed.
