PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cast coated paper that has especially excellent white paper gloss, extremely slight gloss unevenness and pinholes and is produced in high efficiency in a gelation cast method. SOLUTION: The cast coated paper is obtained by coating base paper with a coating liquid comprising pigment and an adhesive as main components to give a coated layer, providing the coated layer with a gelatinizing agent, gelatinizing the coated layer, pressing the coated layer to a heated mirror surface drum while the coated layer is in a wet state and carrying out a glazed finish and contains calcium trisulfoaluminate at pH <12.0.
