The snow and ice safety barrier has a fastening part and a catch element, bent downward. The fastening part (5) hangs up into a building roof with an attachment hook (7). The fastening part at its catch element (6a) is shifted under the roofing tiles (2) and has a turned away end for a roof slat. A roof slat offset is provided.
