PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air pressure monitoring device for tires capable of reducing erroneous registrations of IDs by suppressing unnecessary ID re-registration. SOLUTION: The tire air pressure monitoring device equipped with a tire ID code registering means to register the tire IDs through updated storages in an EEPROM 5c, which are transmitted from the respective wheels to the body side via radio signals together with the tire air pressures is furnished with a door opening and closing determining device 9 to determine a participant's getting on and off, wherein the tire ID code registering means registers the ID of the mounted tire through updated storage in the memory when a get-on/-off determining means determines that a participant has got on again after leaving.
