PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent substance having excellent heat resistance, light resistance and weather resistance, and capable of suppressing the deterioration of emission intensity and the shortening of life conventionally caused by the deterioration of a resin; and to provide a light-emitting device and a crystallized glass. SOLUTION: The light-emitting device 20 comprises a stem 3 having a cathode lead terminal 1 and an anode lead terminal 2, a blue light-emitting diode chip 4 connected to the anode lead terminal 2, a metal wire 5 connecting the blue light-emitting diode chip 4 to the cathode lead terminal 1, a storing container 7 fixed so as to airtightly seal the blue light-emitting diode chip with the stem 3, and having a window part 6 formed at the upper part of the blue light-emitting diode chip, and the fluorescent substance 8 comprising the crystallized glass attached to the window part 6 of the storing container 7.
